This chapter would have the ingredients for an unbelievable comedy if it were not for the fact that so many people are caught up in so many of these misinterpretations! As you have learned from this book, there are only two ways of interpreting life! Every person on Earth either interprets self and life from the negative ego/fear-based/separative mind or they interpret self and life from the Spiritual/Christ/Buddha mind. This applies to “Bible Interpretation” as well! This, in truth, could be a whole book in itself, however, for the point of this chapter I will just give you some of the highlights of the meaning of the Bible according to the negative ego! I have to admit it does have a comical ring to it no matter how serious I try to be!
The first major misinterpretation by the negative ego, which is fundamental to its entire misinterpretation of everything, is the belief that the Bible was written by GOD! With no judgement intended, it was not! Men wrote it! A great deal of the Bible is inspired by GOD, and a great deal of it is “certain men’s interpretations of GOD!” Some were clearer than others in making their interpretations! Let me say from the beginning, I love the Bible! I quote it all the time! It is one of my favorite books! The key, however, to appreciating it, is to be able to interpret it from the Spiritual/Christ/Buddha mind and not your negative ego mind! Some of the interpretations the negative ego comes up with are quite unbelievable! Some of the highlights of these interpretations and misconceptions are as follows!
In the Old Testament, the world was created in six days! This may be six days of Brahma, but not six days of Earth time! This is of course a metaphor.
Then in the Old Testament, GOD is seen as angry, jealous, and quite mean spirited at times. There was the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and that flood during Noah’s Ark! Many other examples you all know about! This, of course, was not GOD; this was the negative ego of those who wrote the book being projected onto GOD. For I have it on good authority, GOD is not suffering from a problem of controlling His negative ego! Then, of course, that GOD is referred to as a “He,” may be more of a problem with language than anything else. However, on behalf of the Divine Mother and all the Goddesses, I thought I would add this! Please forgive me if I occasionally use the word “He,” “I am on your side!”
Then in the New Testament, as I am skipping around here a bit, we of course have the belief that we are sinful, lowly worms! This, of course, is not true, for Spirit would have us know that we each are Gods, the Christ, the Buddha, and the Eternal Self! Negative ego thinks, of course, that only Jesus is the Christ, completely misunderstanding that we are all the Christ, in truth!
The negative ego believes that reincarnation is of the devil! Spirit interprets this that the negative ego is the devil. The Church, who didn’t like these concepts because it did not allow them to control the people, removed the Bible passages referring to this. This is an historical fact! For in 533 AD, the Second Council of Constantinople issued a decree, which is in the historical record books to this fact! There are still references to reincarnation that they missed. One was John the Baptist, who was a past life of Elijah in the Jewish religion!
Another misconception of the negative ego was that Jesus wrote something in the Bible. Jesus did many things and had a great many gifts, but he did not own his own publishing company. The Bible was written by men who gave the accounts of his life, and most of them long after he died!
The negative ego also interprets the Bible to believe that people are their physical bodies so when they die they are dead as a doornail. The negative ego teaches that there is no afterlife except if you are Jesus! The only problem is what happens to all the Buddhists, Hindus, Moslems, Zoroastrians, Taoists, Jews, Spiritualists, people in the New Age Movement, and Universalists, to name a few!
The negative ego also interprets the Bible to believe that it is the only way to GOD and all other paths are of the devil and Satan! So, the negative ego preaches self-righteousness! Its basic teaching is that anything I don’t believe is of the devil. This is quite comical for it is the devil! Although I prefer the word illusion!
The negative ego also teaches that only Jesus can walk on water, raise the dead, turn water into wine, and so on! This is quite interesting when the Bible quotes Jesus as saying, “Everything I can do you will do and more!” I have never heard the negative ego escape from this one!”
The negative ego also believes in proselytizing. In other words, that people should go out and share the Gospel. To the negative ego, this means invading people’s boundaries and telling them about it even if they don’t want to hear it!
The negative ego of course teaches judgement. Jesus said “Judge not, lest ye not be judged”! Yet so many fundamentalist teachings are some of the most judgmental on Earth! This paradox never ceases to astound me! The negative ego interprets the Bible to mean that if you don’t accept Jesus you will be dead and sleep forever and/or go to hell! Hell, of course, is a fiery place! Spirit understands that there are many levels and mansions in God’s Kingdom and people go to the level after death that they have Spiritually and Psychologically achieved!
The negative ego interprets the Bible to mean that if you don’t die forever or go to hell, you will live in Heaven after entering the pearly gates. Spirit interprets the Bible to mean there are many dimensions. As the Bible says, there are seven Heavens. The negative ego naively thinks one goes to the supreme Heaven by just accepting Jesus! My Beloved Readers, Spirit interprets the Bible to have a few other requirements like 352 levels of Initiations, Spiritual, psychological and physical/earthly mastery, and transcendence of all negative ego consciousness and replacement with Spiritual/Christ/Buddha Consciousness and balance!
The negative ego interprets the Bible to mean there is a “Day of Judgment,” which is the day people will be sent to Heaven, hell, or death! Spirit interprets this as more of a “Three days of unconditional love and a forgiving evaluation of your life after death,” which is called the three day Bardo experience!” For more information on this read my book The Complete Ascension Manual!
The negative ego interprets the Bible to believe in sins! Spirit interprets the Bible to mean there are no sins, just mistakes, forgiveness, and lessons!
The negative ego interprets the Bible to mean you are just a physical body! Spirit interprets the Bible to mean you are God and Christ living in the physical body! The Bible of course says this, “Ye are Gods and know it not!”, and “You are made in the image and likeness of God!” “Be still, and know, I am God!” The negative ego, I forgot to mention, has selective memory! It conveniently ignores the passages that go against its interpretation!
The negative ego is also very much into prophecy, I forgot to mention! It interprets all the predictions in the Bible to be 100% true and unchangeable. Spirit interprets these predications as possibly valid at the time they were given, to be given as warnings so we could use our free choice to change them! The negative ego sees the Armageddon and the destruction of the world as inevitable!
The negative ego believes that you are not a soul, there is no afterlife or intermediate planes of existence other than Heaven and hell, and you are a physical body, not God living in a physical body! This being the case, abortion is the killing of a soul, because to the negative ego there is no difference between the physical body and soul. To the negative ego, the physical body is the soul! Now I am not saying I am a big fan of abortions, however, Spirit teaches that the physical body and you as a soul are two different things! When you physically incarnate whether you accept Jesus or not, and whether you are Spiritual and practice any religion or not, you will at death find yourself on the inner plane that you have attained through Spiritual growth in the incarnation you have just lived. This being the case the soul and body are not the same! The negative ego interprets this to mean you are not eternal unless you accept Jesus. Spirit teaches you are eternal whether you believe in GOD or not! You just keep translating from dimension to dimension! The negative ego, believing you are a physical body, therefore believes a physical body in a mother’s womb is a soul. Spirit teaches that the Soul does not enter the physical body until just before or just after birth. The soul has energetic connections to the forming physical body but does not live in a mother’s womb for nine months. This is illusion. So, the belief that abortion is killing a soul is not true from the interpretation of Spirit. This is not to say that Spirit likes abortions, for it does not! This is the reason for some of the confusion and misinterpretation on this issue! Spirit teaches to avoid unplanned pregnancies and to take proper contraceptive measures to not allow this to happen! If, in an emergency, an abortion has to take place, it is not a soul that is being killed! That same soul could realistically come back in and be born nine months later and this is a Spiritual fact!
The negative ego declares war in the name of GOD, which is another quite interesting paradox. Have not more people been killed in the name of GOD than any other reason? A good example of this was the Crusades! Spirit would suggest war is the opposite of “Love the Lord they GOD with all your heart and soul and mind and might and love your neighbor as you love yourself!”
